Marylou Cronin recognized by Smith College as Alumnae Admission Coordinator of the Year!
Our very own Marylou Cronin '88, AAC-extraordinaire, was named the Smith College AAC of the year and recognized by the college this fall for her amazing efforts.
The Katherine "Chummy" Piper '43 Alumnae Admission Coordinator of the Year Award is named for and dedicated to a volunteer who was a tireless advocate for admissions and recognizes the efforts in recruitment of an AAC who has gone above and beyond.
Marylou has served as AAC of our club since 2015. She is an accomplished leader in the technology industry here in the Silicon Valley (currently a manager at Oracle), active in the Smith Alumnae community, and mother to two boys.
She was recognized for her exceptional admissions work in a high-pressure and high-volume area, something she has navigated by partnering with other tech-savvy alumnae to create new avenues for managing the workload. Marylou is also the thought leader who drove the creation of the NAAC Slate Advisory Board, which will be working with the Office of Admission to develop Smith's alumnae volunteer portal in the coming months and years.
Congratulations to the wonderful Marylou!
