Annual Hot Cider Party 2018

It's one of our favorite annual events! On Sunday, January 22nd, over 50 prospective students, newly-admitted students, their families, and a number of Alumnae across class years met in the Palo Alto home of Laura Selznick '68. Laura has a wonderful tale of learning to make cider from an Alumna, class of 1923, who then passed down her recipe and silver ladle, making this a lovely and meaningful tradition. The students and their parents had a number of questions that Alumnae were only-too-happy to answer and the cider and baked goods made by Laura were a wonderful touch on a chilly day. We look forward to welcoming a number of these students as Smithies, class of 2022, and will keep you posted on the number of students who officially join our ranks next fall.
