Faculty Speaker : Mahnaz Mahdavi

The Smith College Club of the Peninsula was so fortunate to welcome Professor of Economics, Mahnaz Mahdavi, as our spring faculty speaker. On March 18th, Club Members and their guests from across class years gathered at the home of Madeleine Fackler "80 to hear Professor Mahdavi speak about current economic growth, including the recent tax cuts, stock market changes, and overall global trends. The talk was all of the best parts of a Smith lecture brought to us in the Bay - engaged students, lively discussion, and an expert professor - and best of all, no homework! We're so grateful to the college for sending us such a prestigious speaker, and to Mahnaz for traveling all of the way to the Bay. Thanks to everyone who attended the event!
